Anyone who agrees to pay without asking for this proof is usually either desperate or a risk professional.

The resale price is always a compromise. Anti-scalping rules in Italy prevent reselling above face value through professionals, but for individuals, there's a gray area where, under certain conditions, you can recoup your expenses without becoming a secondary market professional. Knowing the precise rules for your specific event is more useful than any general advice.
